Ball tionóil an DUP cainteach faoi dhódh bratach na hÉireann

Tá an balltionóil DUP, Paul Girvan I ndiaidh ráiteas a chur amach faoin chonspóid a chothaigh agallamh a thug sé níos luaithe inniu ar an stáisiún raidió U105.

San agallamh arsa an tUasal Girvan, ‘”I come from a society that this is part of their culture to have an 11th night bonfire and what goes into that bonfire is important.

Also some people feel it is perfectly alright to put the flag of a foreign nation, which actually at one time claimed that they had some right over Northern Ireland.”

“I’ve no problem about burning of a tricolour on top of a bonfire let’s be honest. I’m not going to make any apologies for that. That is the flag of a foreign country as far as I’m concerned.”

Cháin David Forde,  tAire Dlí ó thuaidh, a chaint agus mhaígh go dtig le daoine a gcultúr a cheiliúradh gan a bheith ag cur as do dhaoine eile.

Ar ball d’éisigh an tUasal Girvan  ráiteas agus mhaígh ann, “I have made it clear that the burning of flags can be seen as provocative by those who would hold these symbols dear and I want to see a reduction of this activity. This includes when unionist or loyalist flags are placed on republican bonfires.”I do not encourage anyone to burn flags of any country and will happily work to reduce the incidence of this.”

Cad chuige bhfuil an oiread sin béarla san alt seo?

Is dóigh liom dá mbeadh fócloir Gaeilge ag an tUsual Girvin, go gcaithfeadh sé é ins an cnámh tine. Is trua an scéal é. Áfach, tá seoid drithlach ar leic an dorais againn in Éireann, teanga na nGael. Níl éinne in ann an tsolais seo a mhúcadh.
